Knowledge for growth – May 21, 2015
On Thursday 21 May 2015 the ICC in Ghent (Belgium) will host the 11th edition of Europe’s leading regional life sciences convention Knowledge for Growth. Knowledge for Growth is a regional convention on life sciences in Europe, attended by more than 1.100 participants from over 330 life sciences companies & organisations. Tiny Swemers and Alexander Wittenberg (KeyGene) will attend the event with a booth, where visitors can get to know KeyGene better and ask questions about the possibilities and available career positions.

C2W Career Expo, April 8th, 2015
On Wednesday April 8th, 2015, KeyGene visited the C2W Career Expo at the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht. This day offered unique opportunities to meet interesting employers, resumés checks, to discuss careers with career coaches and opportunities to follow interesting workshops and lectures. Marjo de Ruiter and Tiny Swemers (KeyGene) were present with a booth, where visitors could get to know KeyGene better and have a nice chat about the possibilites and available career positions.
PCDI Postdoc retreat, March 25- 27 2015
The PCDI Postdoc Retreat is a 3-day course, away from daily obligations, to think about yourself and where you are going. The 13th edition is organized from 25 – 27 March 2015 and specifically targets postdocs and final year PhD students in Life Sciences. Raymond Hulzink (KeyGene) gave a presentation. During this presentation, Raymond answered questions about working for companies, non profit organizations and government. Postdocs discussed and talked about the possibilities and challenges that companies offer.
Visit Plant Biotechnology students at KeyGene. November 21, 2014
On Friday Nov 21st a group of 90 Plant Biotechnology BSc and MSc students from Wageningen University visited KeyGene for an excursion. Martin de Vos (trait scientist at KeyGene) gave a presentation with a general outline about KeyGene’s technologies and applications and he demonstrated ins and outs of some of the research projects. One of the project concerned whitefly resistance in tomato. Next to this the students got a guided tour along some KeyGene highlights. Some students gave their impression about this excursion. BCF Career Event, 14 May 2014
10th anniversary edition. Also for KeyGene it was the 10th year to join this career event with a company booth. We met interesting visitors who wanted to learn more about doing research in a commercial environment and about career possibilities at KeyGene. For KeyGene a successful day to get in contact with (possible) future employees.
Career Discovery Day, 15 April 2014
This day had been organized by the study associations B.V.W. ‘Biologica’ & Semper Florens at the Wageningen University Campus. KeyGene had a company stand and answered the students’ questions about career possibilities at KeyGene. Sandra Mansveld gave a presentation on molecular genetics and her experiences at KeyGene. It was interesting for us to meet the students.
Workshop EpiTRAITS at KeyGene 27 and 28 March 2014 – Interview Maike Stam
On March 27 and 28, 2014, KeyGene, one of the partners in the EpiTRAITS Training Program, organized a workshop at its facilities for the fellows in the program. KeyGene also provided an insight in the organization by organizing a tour through labs, offices and the greenhouse.
