Introduction
As the landscape of genotyping changes into multi marker multi platform, KeyGene’s genotyping software has evolved into a modular suite concept. The suite is a complete renewal of our fingerprint analysis software packages AFLP-Quantar® and AFLP-Quantar®Pro, and contains all functionalities present in both versions. KeyGene strives for a standardization of the processing data from the wet labs: one suite for multiple research applications through different technologies.
Genotyping: from A to Z
KeyGene™ Quantar Suite is a complete genotype solution. From the experimental setup from LIMS systems to the output to your genetic analysis tools, the suite offers a full and integrated support.
KeyGene™ Quantar Suite contains scorings module for AFLP® and/or SNPWave®. One or more scoring types can be packaged within the same KeyGene™ Quantar Suite. For additional marker types we are investigating the need for SSR, MLPA and other types. Besides the marker types we support various genotyping algorithms for different applications e.g. off-type detection, quantitative and cross type genotyping.
KeyGene Quantar Suite supports commonly used detection platforms. This means gel-based images platforms or formats (LI-COR, FujiFilm, Molecular Dynamics and TIFF) as well as capillary platforms (MegaBACE, ABI, Spectrumedix). We are constantly looking for new platforms to support. Process and data integration: working with workflows
The new suite is a process-driven toolset. The process of genotyping is always the main focus when working with the suite. Every step in your analysis is defined within a workflow. These workflows embed a specific application in the suite e.g. co-dominant scoring of a backcross. Another example; you have a workflow for processing CE data. This workflow is part of a bigger one e.g. off-type screening. Working with workflows offers direct insight in the how and what of your genotyping analysis. The resulting data or used parameters settings are stored within these workflows. The combination of the workflow (the how) and the data (the what) provides a strong integration between processes and results, which enhances traceability, archiving and portability of genotyping experiments. Open standard: develop your own solutions KeyGene has a policy to be compliant with open standards if possible. We therefore support the initiative of POSΣ. KeyGene Quantar Suite uses the POSΣ development framework and the genetic data standard underlying the framework. For our customers this opens a wide variety of possibilities. Using this framework you are capable of developing your own modules e.g. legacy data parsing, exports formats, custom view s and so on.
Furthermore we will support the MONO initiative, to enable our software to run on Windows®, Linux and Mac OS X.

We realize that customer demands can vary from our standard solutions. Therefore KeyGene Products offers custom solutions (e.g. integration of detection platforms, support of commercially available panels and data migration).
