PR & COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER

Position
As PR Officer you will execute our communication strategy in a strategic and structured way across paid, owned and earned channels in order to further build and sustain KeyGene’s corporate brand of crop innovation company and to foster our internationally recognized position in Agro-biotech innovation among target audiences.

You will be part of the PR & communications team and tasked with designing, writing, curating and/or producing compelling content for targeted audiences. Focus areas include social media, website, media releases and in-house and off-site events. Next to that you are involved in organizing and delivering support to internal and external events and public affairs campaigns. You will lead the day-to-day social media actions and online engagement with our audiences. Furthermore, you will be involved in the day-to-day work of the PR team and providing hands-on support to the colleagues within KeyGene. Also, you will be tasked with using Analytics and other evaluation tools to measure our program effectiveness. You will advise the CEO and VP HR & corporate affairs in matters related to PR and communications and to further strengthen our brand. You enjoy working in an international environment and a small ambitious team with a hands-on mentality. The position will be full-time.

 Your profile

  • Relevant Master’s degree (Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or similar field)
  • Work experience gained within PR, communications, media, marketing or journalism
  • Ideally be familiar with the plant biotechnology / AgroFood industry
  • Good computer skills (a.o. wordpress, InDesign, Photoshop etc)
  • Excellent communication and story telling skills with fluency in both spoken and written English
  • Social media savvy. Knows the latest developments in the area of social. Analytics expert
  • Ambitious enthusiastic professional with a ‘can do mentality’ and ability to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Ability to prioritize and plan effectively
  • Unconventional thinker with fresh ideas
