Lead Discovery & Validation platforms
The Lead Discovery and Applied Systems Biology platforms make use of integrated proprietary and public databases, including genetic maps, genome sequence information, gene expression data, proteome data, metabolome data, phenotypic data, etc. All available data sets are combined in a systems biology approach to determine links and extract those key-genes that are relevant for the trait of interest. In his way the KeyLead platform allows for fast elucidation of candidate genes by integrating phenotypic, genetic and genomic data sources. The KeyLead deliverable consists of a list of candidate trait genes thought to contribute to the trait of interest together with the supporting data/evidence for their involvement in the trait. KeyLead projects are performed in close collaboration with the customer, and if needed and agreed upon, with involvement of external trait experts.
