Position
As scientist you initiate and collaborate in innovative and ambitious research projects, aimed to develop novel concepts and technologies for crop improvement from cell- and developmental- biological principles. In an international, science-driven environment, you make cutting-edge contributions that lead to IP and commercial applications, in close collaboration with seed companies and R&D partners.
You will be part of a new and dynamic research team engaged in the development of novel technologies in plant tissue culture and plant cell biology, such as controlled and improved plant regeneration, plant cell bioprinting and plant stem cell and tissue technologies. The scientific research is approached in a project-central way and conducted in state-of-the-art facilities, including plant growth chambers, microscopic equipment, various cell sorters and brand-new greenhouse infrastructure.

Your qualifications and track record

  • PhD in plant cell- or developmental biology
  • Strong affinity with plant breeding
  • Proven track record in original and/or strategic research and with high impact publications – and/or patents
  • Inspiring, entrepreneurial scientist with solid communication skills
