To support the development of our Virtual Reality software platform, we are looking for a talented

Data information and knowledge are among KeyGene’s top products for crop innovation. Recently, Virtual Reality has been brought to our field as an entirely novel and powerful way to deal with the large amounts of crop data during plant breeding. We have developed the very first “VR Greenhouse” that enables us to combine different sorts of information, from crop images to genetic data and allows plant breeders to interact with these in an extremely intuitive and appealing way. The “VR Greenhouse” also allows breeders to collaborate from different locations and support their development of new crop varieties. To bring our VR software for crop innovation to the next level, the VR team will be extended with a Unity programmer. You will work with other programmers and designers on the development of our current application into a full-fledged, high quality VR platform to support crop phenotyping and breeding.

Desired skills and experience

  • BSc/MSc degree in Informatics or Computer Science
  • Excellent knowledge of Unity
  • Proficient C# programming
  • Passionate about VR/AR technology and its use in novel fields and applications
  • Experience with VR projects in industry is an asset
  • Knowledge of plant biotechnology and breeding is not required, but a motivation to acquire a basic understanding of the domain is essential
  • Good communication skills in English
