KeyGene takes its responsibility for safeguarding the health and wellbeing of its personnel and for minimizing the further spreading of the coronavirus. Therefor we have had to decide to postpone the PostDoc event.
When you register for the event, we will contact you again when we have found a good alternative to illustrate the perspectives of doing a PostDoc in business, the Marie Curie Individual Fellowships and the PostDoc program of KeyGene.
KeyGene has published it’s 2020 call for support in writing a Marie Curie proposal, first deadline: 8 June.

For many PhD candidates and post graduates, the possibility of doing a PostDoc in a company comes a bit as a surprise. The postdoc possibilities at universities and institutes are more commonly known. Doing a PostDoc in a company can be advantageous, especially when one would like to explore this type of employers.
PostDocs at KeyGene are part of, and contribute to an exceptionally vibrant research environment. Marie Curie Fellowships at KeyGene
Management and scientists at KeyGene are very enthusiastic to harbour PostDocs within the company. PostDocs are an inspiration to colleagues and boost the knowledge that can help KeyGene to develop groundbreaking crop innovations. On top of that, it is very stimulating to have the chance to boost the careers of talented scientists by allowing them to work at KeyGene for 12-24 months.
Therefore KeyGene has a PostDoc program, currently harboring 7 PostDocs. Three of them were awarded a Marie Curie Individual Fellowship for their PostDoc position thanks to mentorship and support of KeyGene scientists.
This spring KeyGene will organize another Marie Curie application round. Talented postdoctoral and research scientist eager to gain new experiences in a highly innovative plant research company are invited to apply for support of KeyGene scientists in writing an application for an EC Marie Skłodowska-Curie 2020 Individual Fellowship.

On March 26, KeyGene offers a program that includes a presentation by the National Coordinator Marie Curie and two workshops (how to get influential & how to make a great research proposal).
