Invention

The invention provides for a TelN adapters and/or primers for NGS library preparation that can be used e.g. in protocols for the amplification free enrichment of target sequences.

Benefits

The present invention allows for e.g. the production of covalently closed target DNA fragments, and removal of non-closed DNA by exonuclease treatment thereby providing for PCR-free enrichment of covalently linked forward and reverse stranded (duplex) DNA for NGS. The use of such duplex library prep technology will highly increase base call accuracy during sequencing.

Vision

In research and fields like crop breeding, there is a high demand for a technology that can provide very high sequence read accuracy in a cost-effective way without PCR bias. KeyGene’s TelN adapters and primers can be used for targeted (duplex-)sequencing, which is highly instrumental in elucidating complex genomic structures and epigenetic modifications.
