Crystal Crop Protection Limited and KeyGene extend their technology partnership

Crystal Crop Protection Limited and KeyGene have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to extend their technology partnership for crop improvement to a multi-year strategic research collaboration using KeyGene’s proprietary innovative breeding technologies for crop improvement. The MoU was signed by Mr. Satyender Singh, CEO of Crystal Crop Protection (picture: second from the right) and Mr. Roeland van Ham, CEO of KeyGene (2nd from the left), in the presence of the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mr. Mark Rutte (3rd from the left), in a signing ceremony during the Netherlands’ trade mission to India on September 11.

India’s Crystal Crop Protection has breeding programs in cereals, oil seeds and fiber crops. KeyGene and Crystal envisage a strategic collaboration to discover new traits for increasing crop yields and crops’ resistance to climate change. The effort will be to develop products that benefit farmers in India to increase their income and farm profitability.
